When Sam asked if I’d like to do that very thing @madgoatcoffee, I actually laughed out loud. I’ve avoided public speaking for as long as I’ve been alive. I have this irrational fear that makes me see everything that could go wrong, and sends me running the other direction. But I’m different now. Couldn’t waste this beautiful afternoon not going for a run! 6 easy miles I was feeling creative so I took a bunch of photos and took some time to think through what I want to talk about Tuesday night @madgoatcoffee. There is a whole lot to unpack on the road that led to me to running across Illinois and how it’s made me who I am, but it always comes back to a few key ingredients. Curiosity. Gratitude. Determination. Mindfulness. It’s been a month and I still haven’t processed the experience entirely. Because sometimes I think it’s just the beginning. I think I’ll add this to the Pedestrian club schedule every so often for anyone who wants to come. The hill being on Murray Clark road connects our current club to the club of the past.
